ROUTES
If you printed or saved your maps already, go back and do it again! They have been updated just today! Just a few minor changes to them. We use the Dan Henry marking system. Be sure you are looking for those markings on the road vs any other markings that may be remaining from previous events or road work.

It looks like it will be HOT! Be sure to stop at our SAG stops to rehydrate! SAG volunteers will have general knowledge for you about your route and we will do our best to support you to find your way, but the roads are marked VERY well, pay attention to it all road markings.

NEW THIS YEAR
We are requiring you to check back in! If you need picked up early and do not come back to the park, please let someone at your SAG know so we can get you checked out.

BE SAFE, Helmets required, and no more than 2 abreast and be cautious of the drivers on the road. MOST IMPORTANT, HAVE FUN! We cannot wait to see you all!

The 12th Annual Z Tour Bike Ride is a charity road ride, supporting the Zearing Child Enrichment Center in Princeton, which provides riders a chance to enjoy some of the finest bike riding roads that North-Central Illinois has to offer. The well marked and supported routes will incorporate hills, rolling terrain, and beautiful views of Bureau Creek and the Hennepin Canal all with minimal traffic. We have several options for routes this year.

2024 ROUTES:

White Route- 9.4 mile route. This family route is great for our younger riders and their families and friends to get out and enjoy the day. This route will be marked by our ‘rookie of the year’ white bikes. Rest stop located at Hornbaker Gardens.

Green Route- 30 mile route. No need to rush on the shortest of our main routes, you will have plenty of time to take in the beauty of the countryside. Marked by our sprinter green bikes.

Yellow Route- 66 mile route. The ‘Long Tour’ will challenge riders with a few more hills, but also included an additional rest stop for you to catch your breath along the way. Marked by our champion yellow bikes.

Blue Route- 50 mile route. 30 miles not enough? 66 miles feels like too much? The Blue Route is just right! Enjoy all of what the 30 mile route has to offer with additional mileage to your ride!

Rainbow Route- 102 mile route. You will want to get an early start for those riders looking for some of the best roads Z Tour offers will enjoy the ‘Rainbow Route.’ Marked by our world champion rainbow bikes.

Polk-a-dot Route- 64 mile route. Previously known as the Adventure route, this will still include a mix of pavement, gravel, and maybe a little mud. For the safest and most enjoyable ride, we recommend experienced riders with a minimum of 28c tires on this route. Marked by our king of the mountain red bikes. Are you up for the mixed surface ride, but not wanting to go 70+ miles? We have a map on Ride with GPS that will guide riders on a shortened version of this Polka Dot Route.
